The holidays don’t need another thing for you to get right.
Cake for Breakfast is a place to step out of the pressure, expectations, and performance that can take over this time of the year.
For five Saturday mornings, we’ll make room for connection, curiosity, play and a little more permission. To want what you want, enjoy what you enjoy, and let “good enough” actually be enough.
Less pressure. More permission. More connection. More play.
And room for the complicated parts, too.
Maybe this is for you if…
You’re tired of being the one who remembers, plans, buys, wraps, cooks, coordinates, smooths things over, or makes the magic happen.
And the lists… don’t lose the list or the Post-it note.
You love parts of the holidays.
And other parts make you want to hide until January… maybe March
There are traditions you genuinely love,
alongside things you keep doing mostly because… that’s what you do.
You’d like a little more room to notice what you actually want this year.
Without turning it into another thing you have to figure out… perfectly.
Or maybe you just like the idea of spending five Saturday mornings with other women, eating something delicious and talking about the real stuff…. the deeper stuff.
You don’t have to hate the holidays to want to do some of them differently.
Each Saturday morning will have a little structure and plenty of room for what actually matters to the women in the circle.
What happens in the room?
We’ll use conversation, reflection, simple practices and practical strategies to explore things like:
Not what should make the holidays meaningful, but what genuinely brings pleasure, delight, connection or ease.
What do I actually want?
What do I want to keep? What am I ready to loosen?
Traditions, expectations, nostalgia, family roles and all things we keep doing because, well… we’ve always done them.
What would “good enough” look like?
Less performing. Less producing. More room for imperfect cookies, store-bought pie, changed plans and doing something simply because you enjoy it.
And what about the complicated parts?
Grief. Family, Guilt. Exhaustion. Relationships. Bodies. Food. The but what happens if I don’t….? questions that show up when we start considering doing things differently.
This isn’t a rigid five-week curriculum,
and there’s no particular version of the holidays we are trying to celebrate or create.
You might leave with something you want to change, something you realize you want to keep exactly as it is, or simply the experience of having taken five Saturday mornings for yourself to be with people who get it.
Ready for some Cake for Breakfast…
or pie… or cookies….

Cake for Breakfast is a facilitated community and support gathering, not psychotherapy or a therapy process group. Participating does not create a therapist- client relationship.
A community gathering
Hi, I’m Tammy
I’m a therapist and functional nutritional therapy practitioner who spends a lot of time thinking about what helps people feel more at home in themselves and their loves - with less pressure to get everything right.
Cake for Breakfast grew out of that work, my own complicated relationship with expectations and “should’s” and a belief that sometimes we need a little permission to play a little, maybe break the rules some, and be with other people who get it.
Come have cake for breakfast.
Or pie. Or cookies. Or coffee. Or tea.
Come as you are. Bring your complicated holiday feelings, the things you love the things you’re tired of, a curiosity about what you might want this year.
Five Saturday mornings. November 14-December 12. Olympia.
